Can't wait for tonight.Some spice has been add to this one as if the rivalry wasn't enought.CCHS is looking to stay undefeated and I'm sure SMHS would like to rebound from that 30 pt. lose.CCHS remaining undefeated.Who is your pick.

This game is a coin toss imo. Stone is huge and can run better than years past. Two college-level guards. Will be able to handle CCHS' press better than most teams. However, Cumberland County is still Cumberland County. Great shooters, relentless pressure in the half court too. Your guess for who wins is as good as mine

I will take Stone by 15. CC guards rely a whole lot on pressure to score and I don't think SM will turn it over that much. SM can also score inside at will when it gets in the 1/2 court I believe.

That game was never close.  And which to guards does stone have that you think are college level?  I've seen them play 4 times this year, and I don't see anybody on that team that could play at roane state.

Swing and a miss by me. Congrats to CC on a good quality win and a heck of a start to the year. They will be a contender in Double A...whoever finishes 2nd in 8AA is gonna have a tough time competing with them IMO. Upperman and Macon better fire all their shots at each other to win the District title. 

 

SM does have at least one college level guard in Alex Eldridge. Already has an offer from TTU. Also have a couple D1 post players but they are young and sometimes these things happen to young teams. I would a LOT rather play Stone now than in February when it matters. That being said, in their region....too many teams that create a tall order to achieve the ultimate goal. Someone has to go through Bradley and the sub state round is almost an impossible feat imo.

SM has college guards?  They must of missed the game last night.  Turnovers killed SM.  Surprised the coach didn't try anything different when CC best player had the ball.  Deny or double when she had the ball.  SM young FR post player shows a lot of promise.  Maybe those D1 guards and post will show up for the rematch?

I've played and watched basketball for over 50 years. Trust me when I tell you, stone has no D1 players. If somebody offered a scholarship to one of them, it was rescinded last night. I'm pretty sure no D1 school is going to want somebody who gave up 37 to the opposing point guard

Lady Panthers played aweful last night.  CCHS out played them in just about every phase of the game.  CCHS came out ready to play and SM never matched their intensity.  Credit to CCHS, they deserved to win last night.
