I'm pretty sure that the county hasn't even interviewed anyone for the position yet due to fears it might complicate the legal issues.  They've had a posting for an "Interim Head Football Coach" up for almost 2 months now and have had Corey Gaines (I think that's his name--Teddy Gaines' brother from D-B who came in as a GS assistant) running the offseason weights since January.

That program is in such a mess that I don't think there's anyone with insider connections who really wants it or we would have already had that guy announced as the interim coach.  There were rumors about Kent Green (who's an assistant principal at DC) coming out of coaching retirement to take it over or handing it to Gaines, but I don't think either one really wants this job.   They probably won't have a coach hired until April at the earliest. 

DC has also had some shakeups in their administration already.  They have 2 new assistant principals.

Well, DC just reposted the position without the (Interim) Tag. Hopefully they can maybe get some halfway decent applicants. They do need to expedite this because most other schools have already got their Spring Scheduled.

I’d say the Kent Greene rumor isn’t true since they removed him as one of the assistant principals.  

Since it’s reposted with no interim I guess we can wait until August when they find a new coach.
