RHMS is a lot better than the credit they are getting.  Their record is incorrect on coach t.  I put their starting 5 against anyone.  Number 1 is awesome just wish he wasn't a senior.  Depth is their only problem.

So what is Hardy's record?  Why are so many scores not reported? Don't they have any fans to post them? South Pittsburg only had a handful at PC. District 6A always has a lot of fans.

Basketball is not the sport of choice in this part of the state. Not a lot of posters in the basketball thread.

Richard Hardy barely has any fans.

South Pittsburg is a football/baseball school.

Also, congrats to Clay County for pulling off the upset.. Made me eat crow. Tough way to end magnificent careers for Caden Mills and company.

VanBuren team and fans were a class act last night. Mr Mills is a very special player and was unguardable last night.  I look forward to watching him play at the next level.

Not sure exactly. I think they have about 19 wins. They played in a holday tournament in Atlanta and did pretty well.  Considering their depth is not really there.

You sound like an immature kid. Anyone who has any basketball knowledge knows it’s hard to beat a team 3x in a year. Remain humble. Your time is coming.

I was meaning it serious! I expected VB and Monterey to duke it out in Region Championship! No ridicule what so ever! Did he have a bad night! You and me both know u nor anyone really expected them to lose till they got to state! Usually if Mills has one of them nights they dont lose! I was just asking because i was NOT there nor was i at Monterey game! Only been to 1 game this year and it was Against VB! So u didnt expect them to beat Monterey if they both made it to Region Finals? Just curious?

I had high hopes we’d make it back to state for the fourth year.. Unfortunately we drew the tougher side of the bracket and Edwards is one of the best boys basketball coaches in the state. Baskets weren’t falling like they usually do. Hats off to Clay Co for executing their game plan ESPECIALLY in Van Buren during tournament time.

Clay Beat Monterey in Clay last time they played and Monterey beat Clay at home! I hope we make it to the Region Championship! If either Clay or Pickett it will be tough! Im happy for Monterey! I hope they do well and i will Prob be at Championship if they make it! Good luck to ur guys next year Eagle!  Sorry if i sounded that way but i was being serious! Didnt expect that but really didnt expect RH to win either!

Clay County definitely had their "A" game last night and VB came out flat.  Clay came into the game averging 65 ppg and put 84 on the scoreboard. They had a great plan (offensive and defensive) and executed it very well. Numerous guys hounded Mills , a lot of times two at a time.  He still scored 40 plus last night, so I wouldn't call that an off night? The 3 ball just wasn't falling for VB. They probably made fewer last night than any game this year?  Clay led by 15 before VB cut it down to 2 points late in the game but Clay kept answering.   Hats off to them and it was a heck of a game.   As far as Richard Hardy beating Jackson, that shouldn't surprise anyone that has seen RH play. Yes, VB beat them handily all 3 times but VB was playing up to their potential in those games.  As mentioned earlier, RH doesn't have any depth and that is their downfall.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
