Sale Creek has been the best A team in the Chattanooga area this season. Talented team with a deep pitching staff. Also, don't count out Whitwell. Their record is not great, but they have played outstanding competition and have basically the same roster from last year's state tournament team.

Summertown wins 12A, Loretto runner up

Whats going on in 11A ?

Huntingdon is waiting on West Carroll/McKenzie winner outnof the losers bracket. I see Loretto traveling to Huntingdon next week and McKenzie traveling to Summertown

How good are Loretto and Summertown? I see Summertown hasnt been challenged much this year

I think summertown is a state champion contender but I've got 2 kids on the team so I'm biased.   Loretto is a team that has gotten better and better every week so don't look past them.  They have a new coach that has revived their program.  And yes , summertowns toughest district game was a 8-2 win vs Loretto but hopefully all the tournaments we've played will help that aspect

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
