Not a lot of talk on this game.  Just wondering how McMinn County is looking this year.  Hope this is a fun atmosphere and an injury free game.

McMinn Co had a scrimmage against Red Bank last week and they looked decent. It was a tough game for both teams because it stormed really bad for about 3 hours before that game. The field conditions were kinda bad and  the end score was 14 to 14.

Tyner scrimmaged McMinn Co. 2 weeks ago. It was a good session and MC has a very good passing game and a decent running game. Final score was 34-28(Rams). Good luck to your team and season!

McMinn has some good skilled players at wide receiver and in the backfield. The O line is young and lacks experience. Overall they have improved each time I have seen them in the preseason. They played a good Tyner team and showed they can stand toe to toe with an impressive Knox Catholic team.

I say they will have some struggles during the season because of the inexperience but don't take them for granted as they have that quick strike capability when clicking on all cylinders.

GO TRIBE!

I was so proud of the boys in blue last night.  We give that effort in our league, we will see some success.  So many unfortunate bounces.  Gave up 2 touchdowns late, one on a botched play that went for pick 6, which I have no problem with the call, and McMinn scored with our JV in the game with 2 minutes to go.  Not to upset about it, but they probably should of taken a knee.  Doesn't look good when your starting QB goes 80 yards when you look up and see freshman and jv (should note, we may have had 1 or 2 defensive starters) in at the end of a blowout.  I don't blame the kid but really not the best way to see that one end.  Oh well, glad there were no injuries.  McMinn should see some success in a couple of years, a lot of young talent.
