Sounding more and more likely that it will be a soggy night in Paris. Man I hope the lightning stays away. Do not want a repeat of Houston a few years ago.

I'm afraid it will be a stormy evening. Dont understand why we couldn't move the game to tonight at 7. Two jackson area schools scheduled their game for tonight because of storms tomorrow

Pretty stormy out there tonight as well, not sure if that would’ve helped us.

Ugh, just another example of why I think they start football way too early. Everyone knows how common afternoon/evening storms are this time of year. Hopefully it misses us. Bout all you can hope for.

Do you know how the Grove game went?

Those two schools are maybe 3 miles apart. One location went into lightning delay just after the first quarter and finally cancelled after 2+ hours. The other site continued play and eventually finished the game around 11pm all the while putting everyone on site at risk. It was still storming continuously in Jackson after midnight.

The officials should be suspended.  The school should be put on probation and fined by the TSSAA and any other responsible parties should be investigated by the Board of Medical Examiners for the state of TN.

Life just isn’t precious anymore

how is the weather looking for tonight

According to the weather I have been watching its going to be a 50/50 chance. Some are not calling for any rain until later after the game and some are showing some come in about 8:00. Hope we get in a clean rain free game.

Nope. Just familiar with the history of Henry County's swarming, smothering, turnover-causing Defense.

Score HC 13 Haywood 0

You are 100% correct on the first part. Now a shutout idk about but im saying 21-20 Henry County scores with just a few seconds left on the clock.

Wet, sloppy conditions will benefit the Patriots and their defense. The conditions will aid in their cause of several turnovers...therefore contributing to the shutout. Haywood will move the ball, granted. However, they will shoot themselves in the foot with costly penalties and turnovers. Just my opinion...I don't claim to be the all-knowing Prophet.

    • Wouldn't the easiest move be to move McCall up to HS Principal and have Gulley take over as MS Principal?
    • Bounder, you are correct. And it is so easy today. As a civilian today, I can check my 6th grade grandson’s grades in real time. 46 years ago as a young head coach, I knew who were my weak students and would do a weekly check. A decade and 1/2 later as an administrator, I would ask guidance for attendance, and grade reports as I did my own discipline reports. 5 years later I could run all those reports in a few minutes. today Text one the Secretaries and they can create a red flag report only printing the names with D’s and F’s or attendance and discipline issues. You are not even dealing with a whole team. The only problem with modern technology is someone who might not want to know.
    • No I didn't,  I just know jellico lost a few and should in playoffs tho....but they have alot coming in the next few yrs
    • The buck stops with the head coach, he should have know if any of his players  were not making the required grades. Either he has someone checking weekly before games and reporting to him or he should do it himself.
    • Freedom Prep has discontinued their football program. These are the teams that were on their schedule in case you are looking for a game:
