If Cecil had them 3rd (23 points) , somebody really dropped them way down to end up at 7. I happen to know the picks of one other pollster. I like Cecil, and am aware of the Murfreesboro model of sports. We have the opposite around here. They are afraid of offending the other schools, so we don't get as many articles as we (and Alcoa) should.

Like you pointed out, a few of those writers are really informed about the whole state so I'm sure they got lazy in their research and just looked up returning starters and noticed No Hopkins or Cobb. IMO, any list that doesn't have Maryville, Alcoa and Greeneville in the top 10 is bogus

Agreed. They could be the best 2 teams in the state this year

That may be a stretch. Both are good, but at this point I would say Maryville, Oakland, White haven and BA are better. Still early and a lot of football to play, but that my $.02

Henry County is 2-0 with wins against only Top 10 teams (Class 4A #3 and Class 5A #8) so far this year.  Any love?

You beat me to it. I was going to say the same thing. Thats ridiculous but man its ok. Lets just keep this train rolling in Henry County. They can leave us ranked 10th or whatever all season in 5A doesnt matter. These boys are the real deal this year. Going to be tough for anybody to beat HC
