Haha haha haha lol lol lol, what in the wide world of sports is going on here???GCA folks saying the feel like champions...I mean Greenback fans.Complaining about flags.Welcome to our world only when we are in YOUR world. This is almost funny.Even tho i would not make fun of any of the GCA folks.Nope, nope nope.

No sir, no sir. We're not champions, not in football though. We just like trying to hang with the powerhouses (Alcoa, Greenback) if we can. I'm just a spectator now. We were just a small part of your state championship last year. 13-1 and we were the 1. In all seriousness, last years players were glad to see you guys win because of the battle during the regular season. If you'd ask them this year, I think most of them hope you guys repeat because of the history between the schools.

You're getting soft in your hs football retirement age!

Ahh this is so tough. With my disdain for all privates which probably started way back when Catholic and Webb were in our district. One of my favorite memories was during baseball season  Webb gets off the bus and proceeds to take pictures with the cattle behind the left field fence! Lol! All down hill from that moment forward. I'm gonna go with Grace in this one:geek:. Grace didn't exist when I played and CAK didn't play football. Loved beating them in baseball and basketball though. GCA wins because they have better athletes and I think the receivers will catch the ball for Mr. Kirby. Grace by 14+

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
