If you think the dawgpound is the only group of fans that can get into opposing player's heads, you're wrong. Last week at gordonsville, they had to send their athletic director over to our side of the stands to settle our fans down. I just figured that ex-players would be more concerned with cheering on their team than against their opponents. You've got a very tough opponent this week in Boyd, and your team will need all of the encouragement they can get.

We are honored to have you speak at the pep rally. You do a great job! Can't wait to see what you have planned.

I have some info about the t-shirts but it can't be posted here. I will pass the word along that you want one. I will find out a little later when they plan to have them ready.

See you Thursday night, we will be there around 7 if you want to come early. Thanks again!

cloudland has a very good line thay will pressure healy like he has not seen. offensively the only people that held cloudland to under 400 yds had on strips.greenback played very good D and thay still had allmost 400 yds cloudland has played the very good pass defense thay will block like no other in 1.A thay should be playing S.P OR COLLINWOOD OR GORDONSVILLE OR BRUCET0N. Boyd and the other privates should be playing with Brentwood and BGA where they belong.

Cloudland -- 28 Boyd -- 17

It seems that we both have a good cheering section, and like to mess w/ the opposing team, and get in their heads!Good thing we arent playing at G-VILLE because they cried a/b us yelling at their players and getting in their heads!!Hope all cloudand fans, players ,and "the dog-pound" have a safe trip up to chattanooga..Good luck to both teams

you have never heard of the dawgpound? What planet have you been on. Ask greenback what the dawgpound is, they will gladly answer. ;)

Apparently, the dawgpound has more success at home. As you may know, the visitor's stands in Greenback are pretty close to the field. However, during pre-game warmups, I didn't manage to hear anything, and the RB group (where I'm at) is right next to the visitor's stands. At Cloudland last year, though, they were pretty rough during pre-game. heh

    • Anyone know how the scrimmage at Central went?
    • I grew up watching Greene Devil Football since I could walk and still close with a lot of the coaches so should know my history pretty well lol.  Everything worked out the way it should have but firmly believe McCurry would have won some State Title if he wouldn't been let go (Greeneville still runs the same D he brought here and he let Ballard run the O and stayed out of it when it came to calling plays.  Greeneville was put out in the Semi's McCurry's last year against Maryville and the next year Greeneville stayed in 4a and was State Runner up playing were they were placed for the first time by the TSSAA.). It was definitely a McCurry and Ballard show that turned everything around along with the Community buying in and revamping the weight room and field house. Since Ballard got promoted to HC every Coach after him has been within the Greeneville Coaching staff because your right, they know what it takes to win a state championship.  Ballard was a master mine on O and what i think Greeneville has lacked since he left and let some Championships or making it to the Championship slip away over the last few years
    • Sounds like you know your area history well. Going back and looking the records were better than I thought but mostly still beating Upper East TN schools. Ballard sounds like he came/was promoted at the right time.    I do think it’s no coincidence that them keeping the HCs as guys who were former guys on the staff. Too many times schools want a “state championship” leveled coach from the outside but they don’t know the landscape. Promoting from within will help with less turnover and keep the program consistent.
