Ed, heres the deal.. yes our junior teams have done sightly better the last 2 seasons but why?  Right now,  TN currently has 7 wrestlers wrestling in D1.   8 if we count Oliver as a TN wrestler.

As someone that try's to keep up with wrestling around the country I made a few calls to friends to get their opinion.   1.  Was told by someone in PA that they are being told by other coaches in

You guys can get mad at him for the insult all you want, and I’m not necessarily disagreeing. The insults should stay off the message boards. However, I do believe they are justified. $1500 to wrestle

What do you not get. I don’t care on how you feel. That is your right. I also said I don’t agree with him on everything. I just had an issue with your one statement. How you feel is your business. But demeaning someone on a public forum when I haven’t seen one personal post from him is wrong. That’s all.

purplewrestler is right. you should not demean someone on a public forum or say things that are not true.

but i am pretty sure that rules are meant to keep kids safe. weighing in would be a rule that keeps kids safe. not making them weigh in would be breaking a rule that keeps kids safe. to me that would be doing something that would cause me to question if he is trustworthy with the safety of kids. i have also heard more stories about him being untrustworthy beyond this one.

      Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.

      It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.

      Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
