West ( 4 - 0 ) at Oak Ridge ( 2 - 2 )

Big Game Alert...Friday night, Oak Ridge plays host to the West Rebels.

West comes into the game 4 - 0, ranked # 4 in the 5StarPreps Poll. Victories over Bearden ( 34 - 31), Farragut  ( 24 - 13 ), Karns ( 45 - 0 ) and Jefferson County ( 49 - 22 ) highlight the season to date.

Oak Ridge is going through a Renaissance of sorts after starting the season 0 - 2 and the Wildcat fans very concerned. Victories over Campbell County and Farragut has settled the restless fans to some degree. This rebirth has Oak Ridge;back into the 5StarPreps at # 14. i , for one have nothing but respect for these Wildcats.

Why this game is important? Region 3-5A games are priceless. This is the toughest Region in the state and once you get into the playoffs things do not get easier.

This will be the biggest challenge yet for OR. OR is playing much better than a month ago but West is a totally different animal. They have speed to burn (OR is nowhere near as fast as West) and SEC commitments (two or three). OR can win it but I hate to say I can't see OR winning this one. I hope I'm  wrong

I’m not discounting OR who seems to have really found their way, but I’m gonna guess West will win this one. I think their speed and athleticism is just going to be too much.

I have to ask about your Falcons....is AE that good or did Fulton just quit when it got out of hand?

While we are missing a couple of pieces to the puzzle, the kids play hard but we just aren’t very good right now.
