Heritage Patriots

I’ve heard no one on the radio or tv talk at all about WH Heritage. The Patriots are 3-1 heading into Friday’s matchup with Greenbrier. Last season Heritage was 1-9. Yes, they Won only 1 game. The previous year (2017) Heritage was 0-10! Coach Stetson Dickerson was hired late in the process, June of 2018 to be precise. He had to assemble a staff, try to learn the player’s name and put together a system that fit his players skill level. The 2018 season was a struggle, Winning only 1 game and Losing 9.

 

Going into the offseason I could see some momentum. Coach Dickerson & his staff really pushed his kids hard and made them believe that they could Win. The coaching staff trusts each other, the players have bought in and now they have some real confidence heading into the thick of their region schedule. Still a a lot of football to play, but I think Heritage is a legitimate Playoff team for Region 5-4A.

That offense has looked good so far avging 40 pts a game. They were unstoppable against the Jackets.  Them dudes stay healthy they should without a doubt be playing in Nov.
