Lol!

Tell us about fairley and Mitchell. We already know Wilkins is the running back and fairley relies heavily on him and Robinson is the coach and he has turned the program around.  Oh and they are playing up in classification in their non region games.

Mitchell has a good qb who is from Senegal. They are a decent team.

Tell us something  we don’t know. Enhance coach t with your knowledge of Memphis teams. After all you are from there

I'm not trying to pile on, but if you'd post your thoughts instead of a link to a newspaper article or video, people would be more considerate of your opinion. Whether you choose to believe it or not, there's no better forum for accurate information and opinions on high school sports in Tennessee than right here. Most regulars can list three or four teams from the other side of the state, and nail the two semifinal participants from them, yet the Memphis teams we know next to nothing about, other than mention of the team that you think will represent region 8 best against the rest of the West.

Has Peabody ever played against a D2-AAA school like a MUS, or a Brentwood Academy? If not, don't he too sure. 1A and 2A football really can't compete with them.

MUS would beat Peabody pretty bad. How bad? I'm not sure, but rest assured, it would be bad.

We have not played Bentwood Academy but we have played bigger schools and some 4A and 5A schools refused to play us this year.  Playing teams that beat you that bad going in is ignorant.  You have your opinion and I have mine.  Nothing will ever change that.  But I assure you, We would score on MUS and they would not score 45 on us.  You will get your chance to see Peabody.  Your mind will change, that's for sure.

I remember Briarcrest and BTW was 9-1 and Peabody was 5-5.  We went in to both places and won.  HOw does a 5-5 team even compete with a 9-1 team.  Memphis is all about Basketball.  Our weaker teams constantly beat your better teams.  That may not be the case this year but it has been in prior years.  When Memphis people start supporting their programs, they will be much better off.  We have beaten Memphis teams year ina dn year out.  We have not won them all.  I remember Mitchell beating us, Union City and Milan in the same playoff year.  That was a very special Memphis team.  I wont even begin to talk about Trezvant.

You're not piling the on. This is an open forum where 1A & 2A HS football is discussed. I'm a big boy, I can handle folk not agreeing with my line of thought. This is America, where difference isn't a bad thing.

Line of thought ? You don’t discuss football. You just post links and proclaim Memphis is the best and then get upset if someone disagrees

I'm on to the next series of games. You already know about Fairley and Mitchell.

See you around the T!

You are on to the next series of games because people are figuring out you are a joke. You're the most sensitive man-lady I've ever laid witness too on this great website. ( Besides the joke known as OldRoyPirateDillard ). Anything and I mean anything negative about a Memphis school true or not and your <-> close to throwing racist card out there. If you think others can't tell then you are truly ignorant as to how you are either representing yourself or the Memphis community. I'd suggest heading back to the pawn shop and buying back your man card. It wasnt worth the 3$ price they gave you for it,  but at least you can maybe buy back some dignity from all the Memphis is better than thou attitude.

    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
    • No my fight, but ... if they were already college-caliber prior to transferring to BHS, and they already had FBS interest, and they end up at an FBS school, how did Bearden do anything for them?
