We truly had a chance to beat this team. Is Watertown better then us? No doubt! Are they bigger then us? No doubt! Are they faster then us? No doubt! But our boys had several missed opportunities that could have been a game changer. Refs sucked but they always do, yep even in the games we won. Watertown is better then what they played last night, and I don’t have a problem admitting that. I said at the beginning of the week we have to have little to no mistakes and they have to have an off night... We made to many mistakes on BIG PLAYS! Like the break out rush and fumble that can’t happen the bomb down field to our guy wide open and he doesn’t catch the ball. You can’t win against a team like H20 playing like that but going into this we was told it would be a running clock by half and it was far from it! We had 3 starters out as well and one of them being a very key player. Our guys have something to be proud of but they got a lot to work on. Regardless of what anybody wants to say I’m proud of our guys.

LOL, probably will because yall are classless. A classy team takes a knee with a minute to go up 28. With a 1st down around the opponents 25.

A team with pride stops that last play but a team thats tired and quits that is what happens. But a far as classy westy coach is very classy great example for young men and kids watching from the stands cursing and wanting to fight running backwards but he had them in prayer 30 seconds later. So Alot to be proud if this morning .

Me to. Step forward for sure on defense. I hope we get another shot at this bunch and feel we will if we take care of business at East Robertson. I would much rather play Watertown again as TC from what I saw last night. As far as coach perry incident goes, I knew where he was coming from. Im glad our coach has his kids back myself.

Good post. This is a good example of someone seeing the truth and speaking about it accordingly. Good fan.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
