Mike Poe is not one of the best coaches in Tennessee. When he was at Crockett they way bad. He took over a school wich has great athletes, and just runs Pitts old stuff. Pitts want to come back to Johnson city, he says that leaving was a mustake.

Elizabethton and Science Hill is one of the best rivories in East Tennessee and probably in the state of TN. To just not play Elizabethton is crazy and he is taking alot of heat for that. Poe says he would rather take heat from not playing than taking heat for getting beat.

THAT IS BIENG SCARED, DON'T BE SCARED!!!!!

Speaking of being negative the film is not what seems to be the problem. Its the fact that you know good and darn well

that unaka would have played elizabethton this year?

and wanted to last year.

seems like your staff is just always

refusing to play unaka exspecially when they knew about how

good unaka was last year and how coach hardin didnt want to lose to a small school team with much calliber like unaka.

Bottom line when it comes to be a difference between unaka and elizabethton unaka does the walking eliz does the talking.............by the way unaka wouldnt back down from elizabethton so I find it kind of hard of coach ensor saying no to the challenge.

Unaka has tried to for years and still the same ol answer.

no.Maybe next year the answer will change?

If Unaka was wanting to have a shot at beating EHS, they should have played them in the last couple of years. If they were to play in the next couple, EHS would demolish Unaka, this is a very talented EHS team and they stand a good shot of making to the State tourney and maybe even winning it, if Hardin is able to bring them to there potential, but Hardin has never impressed me much as far as success ratio to the athletes he has had access to.

Poe has the best job as far as head coaching in East TN. and obviously he had to do something right to get it. He inherited a gold mine, but he is still a very good coach in being able to cultivate the talent that is there for him, and it wouldn't surprise me if SH doesn't add a few more championships within the next 5 years.

I would like to see an EHS vs. SHHS matchup, that would be a good one, who knows- maybe if were lucky we will see it in the Arby's.

roltiderol, that sounds great and I think that you are right about almost everything you said.

coach Hardin has always had less talent and been smaller school than anybody in AAA. He does a great job and is a great coach.

I hope that they can meet in the arbys aswell. It will be hard for elizabethton because they play chatt. branerd first and if they win they will play Wheeler out of Georgia who won the state 5A championship last year.

from 3 point champion of the arby's in 1999.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
