2019 D2-AAA Annual Post Season Bracket & Gold Ball Booger Pickin Contest

Two excellent matchups for Friday night on opposite sides of the state, albeit with both threatened by rain. Payback games for both home teams. Safe travels to all involved.

I first met Coach Euverard back when he was an assistant for one season at Father Ryan 26 years ago. He has done a great job at MBA, particularly this season with so many young players on the roster.

The Big Red started 1-3, but look at where their four losses came from and you can see just how strong the teams are that beat MBA.

MBA 2019 losses
1. at Brentwood High, 9-6 (F/OT)
BHS is 10-2 and playing Ravenwood in the I-6A quarterfinals on Friday.

2. vs. Pearl Cohn, 21-15
Pearl Cohn is 12-0 and playing Giles County in the I-3A quarterfinals on Friday.

3. at Briarcrest 24-21
Briarcrest went 9-2, losing to Ensworth last Friday in a thrilling game.

4. at Baylor 14-6
Baylor went 9-2, with MBA getting payback for the regular-season loss in their playoff win last Friday night in Chattanooga.

.....have to admit that MBA and that defense has really surprised ole Booger...and could be sendin Purple to the Gulf Coast

I will admit though, had Keshawn not gone down with an ankle injury, Ensworth would've been well on their way to Cookeville. The momentum was way in the Tigers favor and the Blue could not get anything going on offense with Keshawn in the backfield.

thats a huge assumption....tho Ensworth was a little better with him in there......
