Well, this is the first time we have been on the field with anyone other than ourselves. First quarter was a disaster but we are starting to come together on defense now.  USJ is impressive. We must get some blocks and attack the edges a little more. Still another half to play. Hopefully we can make adjustments and make a game of it.

Looking forward to just seeing a game.I met Swo several years ago when I use to be a little more riled up when it came to the Falcons.Swo is ok.Try yo pull his chain every once in awhile...lol.    I'm here.UJJ fumbled and U C scrambled for 30 yard run and Stalked.Sanchez kicks field goal.USJ runs kickoff back..Lead 7 to 3.       USJ beating UC at the line.UC only passed about 3 plays.Thought USJ should have 30 points or more.Quit trlhrowing.Receivers dropped a couple passes.UC  jumped offsides on a 4 th and 7 and  abd 4th and 2.Surprised they didnt go for it.UC secondary looks suspect but its early.Think USJ can throw on UC at will

35-3 final. Nice win for USJ though that offense will definitely need to tighten up. Passing game was a little off besides the big plays. Was impressed by the two backup running backs.

UC looked like a rebuilding team playing their first game against a Cookeville caliber team. UC has some quality backs, and their line fought hard even though they were overmatched. Could definitely see them improving as the year goes on, but will be tough to make too much noise being so one dimensional.

Kudos to UC for not going out and trying to find some cupcake to fill a void. USJ has a fine football team. It would've been nice to have a had a game under our belt before playing the Bruins but it is what it is. UC had quite a few first game mistakes. Timing was off. Have to get the ball back to the QB faster. Hard to start drives inside your own 5 yard line and every KO was a touchback. The USJ kicker is a weapon. Disappointing not to get a TD after the turnover to start the game and then not getting any points out of halftime on a very good drive. USJ is big and athletic on both the offensive and defensive lines. Well coached. Just a solid club.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
