Home turnout with a good team is one thing. Fan support for an away game when you don't think you can win is another. Everyone wants to be on a bandwagon.

2009- 25-6

2010 - 31-22

2011 - 51-40

2012 - 28-26

2013 - 45-7

2014 - 49-14

One close game. Forrest 6-0 Record.

Times have changed.

I think chapel hill is so good they need to schedule Mccallie! Chapel hills talent is just so unmatched by the way You talk!

That's your opinion. What's in my post is facts. The series was dominated by Forrest and sadly the Cornersville crowd was so small they could've fit in our press box the last two visits to Forrest.

I was just thinking that if CV hasn't traditionally been very good except for the last 4 or 5 years then going back 20 years may not be a good indicator in comparing the 2 programs. I think everyone would have to think that CV would have had some success against Forrest during the 2 championship game runs.

That's the best part. They wussed out of playing and now want to talk about what would've been and try to say we didn't want to play.

Forrest has tried  to schedule.  There's no shame in CHS wanting an easier schedule in 2015 for a young team.  There is shame in 2017, 18, 19, and 2020 claiming FHS backed out. We have scheduled non conference home/ away games with BGA, Watertown, Page, Portland, and Lawrence Co since our last meeting with CHS in 2014. If you think any of those were played because we're scared of Cornersville:roflol:

Huntland, Fayetteville, and Moore County have all stepped up to play Forrest.  Cornersville went with Mt Juliet Academy, Perry County, Community, and Eagleville during the same timeframe. Even with their great teams they are 2-2 vs Eagleville and lost at home to Community last year.

The theory in Cornersville is that Forrest knew after their 49-14 win in 2014 a game that their RB set the school single game rushing record with well over 300 yards that they would never win another game in the series and refused to schedule. :roflolk: So we picked up BGA instead of CHS.

Quick History Lesson:

Schools played 6 times from 2009-2014 Forrest was 6-0.  Last 2 meetings (2013-2014) Forrest outscored CHS 94-21. The 2015 CHS squad finished 3-7. 2016 was 5-6.  Forrest was 10-2 and 12-2  those years. CHS wasn't in our league from 2013-2016. You are now and we missed some great matchups in 2017-2020.

Sample one from Cornersville:

2013- Forrest wins 45-7

2014- Forrest wins 49-14 .

2015- Cornersville refuses to answer any numbers starting with 364 or return any calls. Home and way series is not rescheduled. Forrest schedules series with 4A Page instead of 3-7 Cornersville team. CHS schedules Mt Juliet Academy and Collinwood.

2016- Forrest travels to Page instead of 5-6 Cornersville. CHS says there schedule is full and does not renew the series (Forrest called on Day 1 of the scheduling process)

2017- Forrest schedules BGA and Watertown after Cornersville refuses to play.  Perry County and Community are on the CHS schedule. Eagleville stomps Cornersville 31-7 in the season opener and then defeats Forrest 21-20 on OT the following week.

2018-  Internet chatter begins that Forrest is scared to play Cornersville and has been since 2015. CHS fans demand a game.

2019- As soon as scheduling starts, Forrest calls CHS. Again CHS says they do not have room. Later CHS schedules Community and Eagleville. Forrest picks up games with 4A Portland and Lawrence Co at the last minute.

2020 -

2011 was 56-48 , Cornersville was driving to win the game and threw a pick six.  2010 and 2012 games Forrest was standing room only on the Cornersville side you would have thought it was a home game.

You don’t want to schedule Cornersville because you don’t want to face the fact that it would have been a few years of 3+ touchdown beat downs and few other loses. You have nothing to lose playing BGA , page, etc.

if my opinion doesnt matter why have a dozen cornersville fans devoted about 1000 words collectively to responding?

Still think it is funny that you complain about something that you have control over.  All you have to do is not watch or listen to any Cornersville game, it really isn't that hard.  I know that with a Forrest education you surely can figure out how to stay away or not pay attention but nope, here you are complaining about our announcer that we all care for but does not pertain to you.  But like I said before, worry about your program up north and we will worry about the south end of the county.

If I recall your loss to Riverside last year could only attract a few more fans than a Cornersville JV game. Cornersville playing Chapel Hill has no benefit for Cornersville. If the Bulldogs were to lose you would boast about it being equivalent to the second coming of Christ. If the Bulldogs were to win you would say that you had to many penalties and the refs stole the game from you. ( Heard that before.) How about letting the past be past and get on a Forrest thread that supports your team this year.

You are now the frontrunner for the September 1st CoachT delusional post of the day! Congrats. Five and a half sentences and not one word of truth.

1. You clearly have problems with recollection and counting.

2. Much more to gain from Community. That home loss stung, though.

3. No It would be like a win over Community or Cascade to us. Anyone on the forum can tell which fan base it would mean the world to. In sentences 2 and 3 you are confusing the schools of Forrest and Community.

4. There would be an accurate and factual report of the game. Win, lose, or draw.

4.5. Did it sound like the posts following the Cornersville vs Whitwell game? Bad coaching, playing, or officiating should be discussed on a sports forum.

5. Well, everyone on the forum had dropped it for 24 hours but here you go quoting someone and stirring the pot. We've been focused on the Eagles all week. We also know their best player will likely play this week after sitting out last week.
