The TSSAA should (in light of the present situation):

a.)  request that Camden and Stewart County reschedule their 10/16 game to the week of 10/9.  Both schools currently have byes on the week of 10/9

b.)  reschedule the Stewart County at Harpeth game to 10/16.  Harpeth's current bye is on 10/16

c.)  reschedule the Fairview at Sycamore game to 10/16.  Both teams have a "bye week" on that particular Friday

It's not that difficult of a process for an organization like the TSSAA to make an executive decision and have happen.  COVID is really putting some teams at an unfair advantage and it doesn't have to be the case at all.

All these suggestions need to happen.  Give these kids a chance to play and play at full potential.  The other side of this is some schools are going to miss out on gate.  We all know football funds all other sports.  We have missed two game/gates so far.

The school systems are doing all they can to keep kids apart and safe.  In our situation the problems are occurring with non athlete students.  The student-athletes are simply pulled into the quarantine situation and forced to sit out for 14 days.  Our coaches are doing a great job with separation during workouts and practice and even on the sideline.  This is our current situation and it could always change.

Sounds like the team captains need to be raising cane. I know if I was a player I would be steaming. If they don’t play FB then stay away from them lol.

Can't help it when students are required sit in alphabetical order in class for contact tracing.  One kid has COVID and it wipes out a 12 foot diameter around that person.  Classrooms are not that large.

Cheatham and Camden are still playing this week.  We got a lot better last week.  These boys are hungry to win a ball game.

Nobody.  The coaches just know that the kids have worked their butts off and deserve a chance to play as many games as possible.  Due to the COVID issues Fairview's regular season will now have a maximum of 7 contests at season's end.  I'm happy that for the time being all region games will be played.

Is this confirmed to be true?

    • Yes in the regular season. But once Westview's young kids got the experience from the season, they only lost to Dyersburg by a field goal in the playoffs. Westview was young last year. They will be tough this year
    • That is absolutely not the truth.  Few if any college coaches or school administrators want to be in the middle of legal proceedings if there is any way possible to avoid being caught in the middle.  With that being said I have two questions: 1.  Why would a coach remove any player from the team for using the F WORD?  Yes, I fully understand the player must be held accountable for her actions.  Maybe extra running and even a one game suspension but if every kid or coach that used improper language was kicked on the team or fired, they would have no players or coaches available to play the games. 2.  If there was truly another player or coach that witnessed this situation, and they agree with the player then by all means the coach should be held accountable for their actions.

    • Assistant football staff still the same? Any replacement for Brian Beaubien? Who will be the DC? Will there be anything going on this spring with football? I go watch practice often.
