Moved into the Meigs area within the last 10 years. I'm sure I missed alot of good games between the two. Best game I remember is in 14 though they were a really good team and we made them work for it. I believe we lost by 5 pts that year.

Yes, gave us all we wanted that year.  We were good that year.  Meigs is always a tough out.  My son was a part of that team, Luke Davis.  He went on to play at UTC.

I had a kid on that team as well, he rode the bench pretty much his whole time playing lol. The younger one had alot of play time though a few years later. That was the year that Loudon was good and Fulton was one of the best teams I've ever seen play.

Yes, Loudon had trouble running against us that year, but we struggled stopping their passing game.  It was still a hard fought game, despite the score.  So your boys played at Central?

Nation share some rivalry history with us.

25-19 all time, closer than I would've thought. Central dominated the mid to late 80's and 07-14. Meigs the 70's and 90's. 20-10 in favor of the Tigers over the last 30. Longest streak is 9 in a row for the Tigers from 97-06. Largest margin of victory is 55 for Central in 08. Meigs had a margin of 54 last year and 53 in 01. 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2014 have probably been the best games from the last 20 years.

Thank you. That is closer than I would have thought myself.

In 2014, I remember we did not play well in that two game stretch.  Polk and Meigs gave us a fit.

Those teams were more evenly matched than most would probably admit. Central beat GCA in a close one that year and Meigs gave GCA two very good games. Polk was on the downslope of their run of good teams, but still a tough out. May have had Miller, the big fullback, that year?

I honestly felt like Central was at least a 2 TD favorite in the Meigs game, and even more of a favorite for that Polk matchup.  Miller was gone that year.

My grandson was a Senior on that good '06 Meigs team.
