It is not to early to start talking about this game.  Should be a great matchup, and probably will determine the 5a region 3 champ, and number one seed in 5a.  West defense this year has been impressive so far, even though there schedule has not been the toughest.  Powell is battle tested already and should give West fits.  The keys to the game are going to be if Powell can stop the run, and if West athletes can matchup with Powell's athletes?  I think this will be a high scoring back and fourth game.  West beat Powell in the Quarter finals last year convincingly.  A lot of that was because Powell offense was very limited in what they can do.  Powell QB last year either ran, or threw it 50 yards down the field.  West caught on to that and made key adjustments and dominated the game.  This year West will have to cover the whole field.  So def. will be interesting to see.  What are your guys thoughts?  I got Powell winning 36-28

West still has to play HVA and Clinton before Powell...and West isn't even near ready for Powell.

Based on the West team I saw last week.. I think Powell is 3 tds better...think the central game part 2

I think West is the most well rounded of the bunch. I don’t think Powell would take them by 3 tds. Should be a great game either way!

Save it for after the CC game.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
