Sounds like a great game! Followed it on Facebook! I be honest I thought Bledsoe was better! I figured this game be 3 score difference with Monterey being so young! Congrats Bledsoe! Good Game Wildcats! Keep your head up and ready for Region games! Like to see Monterey beat Clay and Gordy!!!

I’ve got a feeling both of you are wrong after watching Bledsoe play. Bledsoe may win, but they will not run away with it.

Very well said! Monterey had the chance to tie or win in the last minute or 2 in this game. Bledsoe is definitely in the upper echelon in 2A but MHS isn't a slouch either! Congrats by the way on your Purple Tigers!

Looks like I was close.

Yes sir you were! Actually Bledsoe is a very tough football team and they will undoubtedly go deep in the playoffs! I'm just glad we stayed within striking distance and got nobody hurt. This week's game is a big one for the Cats as they travel to Celina, TN to take on the Bulldogs in a game for 2nd place in the region...

Undoubtedly go deep in the playoffs? That’s going out on a small limb.

Going up to the Holler to catch some Smallmouth. Might take this game in.

    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
