Watched this game

Sloppy field and sloppy play by both teams.

I believe on a dry field Springfield would beat them by 40, but thats football. Greenbrier couldn't get anything going on offense.

Springfield made enough plays to win the ball game. Greenbrier much improved this year.

Agreed %100^^.

I think Springfield had more fumbles and turnovers in this game, than they’ve had all year long combined. Add in their inexcusable penalties they had and they played their sloppiest game in a long time.

Yeah.  Muddy night.  But BOTH teams are playing in it, so there should be no excuses on either side for what the score is or is not.

True, but regardless of field conditions that was not near the blowout predicted.

Not making excuses.BOTH teams did play in it. ONE team was obliviously the MORE dominant team moving the ball on offense and stopping the opposing team on defense. Springfield fumbled probably 5-6 times and had probably 10 high snaps that probably cost them around -75 yards alone. If you think the field conditions, heavy down pours and pig pen mud, didn’t have anything to do with it not being a blowout......I’ll hang up and listen.

There was one GHS drive that we must have had two or three unsportsmanlike calls made on us.  I didn’t “see” anything happen so I figure it was language.  One specifically  on Crenshaw‘s face mask call against GHS and then there is a flag for unsportsmanlike on us on the same play.  I figured a Jacket player said something about that

I saw that in the 4th qt and figured the same thing. That kind of stuff is inexcusable period.

This was one of the worst officiated games I’ve seen in a long time. Obvious penalties committed by both teams that weren’t called by officials right in front of the penalty being committed. I could see it 50 yards away in the stands yet no call. I hope this crew never calls another Springfield game.

I know a couple of the guys  that were on the crew and they will flag in a heartbeat for language.
