Lol but not a key WR/DB. Lose your starting Power 5 committed QB  the first the game of the season along with a top WR in the state (power five player) the week before the season and we will talk about making excuses for losses.

You would have to admit they are right.Doesn't mean somebody from that area will win every yr but history lately tells us that area produces the champ most of time.I cant remember for sure but I think 5 of last 6 winners is from that area.Taking down Powell was good Oak Ridge,West,Central and South Doyle are still alive and if you make it thru all them then we will take notice

Agreed. Since 2014, Independence is the only non-Knox County team to win a 5A title.
