Oh, you think I am him or his wife? No, you are mistaken, I am neither! There are individuals that will put the truth out, I am one of them. The truth is…You are a bitter parent. Otherwise, you wouldn’t waste your time trying to bash a coach that has no effect on you or your family!
To say he is a terrible coach with no connection to that team would be absurd from someone that only observes from the bleachers or online.

I am a family friend to somebody who plays there right now. Apparently you don’t know the truth or you wouldn’t be saying what you are about his coaching right now.

I kinda had this feeling.  I know of another Washington County kid who is going to NG now also. She is a good player but not on Andrea level obviously.

Sulphur springs was not very good at all so I'm interested to see who it is.

I promise that man has a win percentage above .800, so to say he’s a “terrible coach” is like saying Michael Jordan is bad at basketball

Thank you BeltonIHOP for that useless information when he is .800 against trash can teams. And under .500 when he plays good ones.

He’s got 6 state tournament appearances, has pretty much either finished first or second in his conference every year out of the last 15 and is a good person and role model to every girl that’s been in his program and you’re STILL sitting behind your keyboard trying to discredit the guy. Get the hate/bitterness out of your heart.

@baldeagle22 I’m still waiting on your ten reasons he is a terrible coach! Seems as if he was such a terrible coach, you would have been able to list more than 10 in less than FIFTEEN HOURS!

I just wish all of the NG fans that are arguing about Buchanan would have used that energy and showed up at the state tournament and supported our team. Buchanan is a good high school coach. He’s not a great coach but he’s not terrible either. He’s like most coaches and wins when he has talent. I was disappointed that this group of seniors didn’t always have the best chemistry on the floor and I think that kept them from winning a championship.

I agree with this, I think they could have been a lot better than they were. No reason they shouldn’t have won a state championship while they were there.

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
    • I understand I guess it depends on the school you are with and the time you want to put in.  It’s evident of the schools that don’t put in as much times.  I would say basketball players put in as much time as any sport in our school system and this is coming from a football town.  Bball is a longer season than other sports.
