Macon County @ Portland

MC is coming off a big region win against LA. This week the Tigers go on the road to old-time rival Portland for a non-region slugfest. Don’t know much about the Panthers this year. Heard they got some really good athletes this go around. Who wins this old-time rivalry matchup? Thoughts?

I can really see this game going either way! Portland had 3 of the best athletes Westmoreland has faced all year but they were also probably the weakest defense we have faced looking back. Macon was sound on offense and defense but was not as athletic as Portland. Whoever makes the least mistakes will win the ballgame

I would not even come close to calling this a big win last week. LA has one of their worst teams in school history and could possibly not win a game. As far as the macon -portland game. Macon can win but by no way will it be easy. Macon has a tuff next 4 games that will be very hard on them if they dont play ball.

When I say big win, I’m meaning for the purpose of region wins. Yes, LA has the worst team probably in its history but every region win is a big win for playoff purposes.

Macon by 1 if it plays like it did verse Westmoreland. Portland by 10, if Macon play like it did verse Trousdale.

Macon was given a gift by the refs to win this portland game. It amazes me how the refs have dictated so many wins and loses for ridge teams this year
