Cumberland County @ Stone

This has been a one-sided crosstown rivalry for a while. The Jets are much improved in their 2nd year under Coach Repasky. CCHS comes in with a 3-3 record, while SMHS sits at 4-2. They've both played non-region opponents in common (Monterey and Lenoir City) and have beaten teams the other lost to.

This seems like a pretty even matchup this year. We're hoping for a more interesting and competitive game.

Who has thoughts/predictions?

excited  for this matchup. with cchs being improved by a big margin, i still think stone is better. QB for stone is the difference maker.. If cchs can contain him ball games up in the air.

I've heard Stone has been using two quarterbacks recently. I'm not sure if its due to injury or scheme like CCHS has done this year. I like the way CCHS has played defense this season, with the exception of Upperman and DeKalb.

i watch stone and upperman. 6 was more of a power runner and 3 was the thrower/scrambler. tough to contain IMO. cchs needs to try and find some big plays on offense to keep up. Maybe a special teams play.
