Waverly @ White House Heritage

Heritage welcomes Waverly to White House for an important 6-3A matchup. This will be the 6th straight Home game the Patriots will play Host. Heritage (4-3) squeaked out a 7-0 Win over a scrappy Cheatham County squad on Senior Night. It wasn’t a pretty or clean performance, but a Win is a Win. Waverly (5-1) comes in riding a 2 game Win streak, including defeating Monterey 19-14 last Friday night. The Tigers only have the 1 blemish on their record, that being the shootout Loss to a very good Blue Devils team at Nissan Stadium.

Should be a big crowd, great weather and hopefully a competitive football game.

I guess their field and stadium is still a mess? Heritage is giving Waverly 100% of the gate and concessions.

That’s awesome. Regardless of how this game turns out that’s a great show of sportsmanship. We get on here and go back and forth with each other but at the end of the day it’s really the people and the communities the we all support that matter the most.

100% fact, there was talk amongst administrators that maybe it was possible to get waverly back on their home field towards the end of the season but it just won’t happen. The stadium had been condemned and there is a great amount of glass and other debris covering the field. It just won’t happen this year.

I saw that. I’ve been in Waverly all week for work. I was shocked when I first drove through for the first time after the flood. The news hasn’t showed a 1/3 of the destruction to homes and businesses in the area, not to mention most of  Humphreys county’s school buses. Sad situation those folks face.
