West Ridge Road Wolves travel to David Crockett

This is a tough one to guage. I think the Wolves, who have yet to put a complete game together, have to be on their game to win this one.

Between 1971 and 2017 Crockett only had 5 winning seasons (1971, 1973, 1974, 2000, 2015).   This includes 7 0-10 seasons and 9 1-9 seasons.    So not exactly a football powerhouse.      UNTIL......    Starting in 2018 the Pioneers have fielded some very impressive teams, this is not the Crockett of your Grandpa's days.      West Ridge will have to put together a complete game in order to win this one.   WR cannot get inside the 20 5 times and come away with only 7 points.     Can't throw 3 interceptions.    Can't have 150 yards of penalties.     Crockett is the real deal.

Good win for the Wolves last week, but I'm going with the Pioneers in this one, something like DC 35 - WR 20

Crockett by at least 10 points.

The only common opponent these two teams have is DB with both losing. Crockett by 28 and WR by 14. I am fully aware that Crockett is not the Crockett of 10 years ago however I see a competitive game. Mistakes by either could cost either the game. Not sure if Crockett relies more on the run game or if they are more balanced. WR has shown that they can and will throw the ball BUT they must limit mistakes.

Watched them both. Crockett prob has just a little better team....and for sure has the best player in the game. Should be a fast game because both teams run run run the ball. Should be a dandy

This game is WCYB's Friday Night Rivals game this week.

As for a prediction on the game, I am going with West Ridge by a final of 28-22.

Good point. I didn't go to William Blount but watched the live stream. WB's field "looked" like natural grass. I could be wrong.

Just figured WB had turf, it seems all 5&6 A teams in Knoxville has it.

but looks like rain pretty much all day, gonna need a poncho tonight

Careful... Blount County teams don't like getting lumped into Knoxville....

None of the 3 schools that merged to make West Ridge came from a school that had artificial turf.
