Yes, you are correct, the freshman also plays basketball & has good feet right now he is about 6’5 330 but will evidently lose so baby fat once he really starts lifting weights. The eight grader is a 6’4 290 & already had some good techniques they was going to let him play with varsity but decided not too!

I remember my mom telling me humboldt was good at football but she graduated in 1987 I’ve seen them dominate basketball mostly humboldt will be back to what they was soon I believe it

Knoxville Austin East won AA in 1986, We (Humboldt) lost to Memphis Tresvant (Xavier Crawford who was # 1 recruit in nation) in 2nd round but held him to his lowest rushing total of 55 yards.

I am just glad people are getting interested in the Humboldt football program again. It is better for our region if Humboldt is good. I hope they continue to get better. At small schools everything runs in cycles. Hopefully Humboldt is coming out of their down cycle.

Yes we are. Also, just so that everybody knows, that Humboldt had three (3) starting offense lineman’s out due to COVID that game, one was the center that’s why the ball kept getting hiked over the QB head or on the ground.

Brentwood beat us 14-7 and beat Austin East like 21-6 I think. We scrimmaged humboldt when I was in school and they kicked our tail!
