Well, Elizabethton fell a little short with the loss to Tullahoma 21-14 in 2 OT (AAAA). Alcoa (AAA) won and Powell (AAAAA) won.  Rhea County lost 3 games this year... two to state champs and the

Great win for Powell. Pretty vanilla on offense, but it didn't really matter. The defense stole the show. Rhea didn't hit any big runs until Nolan came out of the game with about 7-8 min left. They had only tallied about 90 yards of total offense when he came out.

Looking forward to a great game against West next week!

Rhea figured out how to run it against Powell in the second half.  Walter got hurt about three plays before we scored our first td.  Wonder why the ref didn't throw a flag for the second extra point block? 

I told you one thing... Powell knew they were in a game.  We are small, but tough.  We didn't quit either.  

Congrats to Powell, and now you get ready to get drilled by West.  I will still pull for you guys, but it ain't looking to promising...

      Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.

      Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.

      I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.
