Maybe you didn't realize it but Howard is now in our district. They will have to be reckoned with in the boys' race.

The flu bug has hit the Cherokees pretty hard. Not taking away from McMinn Central's win, but they beat a sick, depleted McMinn County team.

I was told the district 3 and region tournament was at Meigs this year not sure if that’s correct or not.

I don’t know what it is honestly. I expected them to be much better but for some reason it just hasn’t clicked yet.

Howards girls srent that good... Only score 9 points on Bradley. I mean its a big school,  shoukd be able to get at least 20 on anybody. Yeah bradley is one of the besst teams in the state but still

Cleveland lost 3 really good seniors from last year. I don’t think many realize just how good Grant Hurst was. He & McGowan did all the little things very well & didn’t really care who got the credit. They both were great leaders & that can be hard to replace. I think Cleveland will play better by the end of the year.

Howard beat Cleveland last Friday (12/10) by 1 point @ Howard. Should be a competitive district.

Tyner plays @ Cleveland this Friday (12/17). It should be a good non-conference game for both teams!!

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
