Maryville Boys Basketball coach Mark Eldridge resigns.

I thought Mark did a great job at Maryville High School. 15 years ago Maryville won a State Title in Marks first year as head coach. He had other great teams at Maryville including the team 2 years ago. Maryville isn't the easiest place to win because Football will always have the best athletes. Mark is a great coach but even a better person. Wes Lambert will take over as the new head coach.

I’d heard murvil was gonna have some changes on the hardwood but I didn’t see this one coming yet. Too many local losses this year I guess? Hopefully they get the right guy to straighten things out.

Coach Eldridge is a great basketball coach and an all around great guy. He did a fantastic job at Maryville. I personally hate to see him step down but if he decided it is time to quit coaching, then he needed to do what he did. IMO, Wes Lambert is a great choice to succeed him. Wes has Maryville roots, head coaching experience, and will pour his heart and soul into doing the very best job he possibly can.
