I agree. Oneida normally was our hardest game in that region the last few years.

Wouldn't sleep om Monterey. Was impressed with them last year and they have several key players returning. Also sounds like Rockwood has a pretty good squad. As you said ,Oneida fields a tough bunch pretty much every year.

Rockwood was impressive from an offensive standpoint. Defensively I'd say just above average but will score some points this year.

Heard Monterey scrimmaged Trousdale to a tie. What that means I don't know but they could be pretty good as well you are right.

Anyone heard or seen anything out of Oneida ? @crow and @Spike016

What are you guys gonna have this year?

Another year has rolled around gentlemen. Oneida will have a tough bunch just like every year. We open up with a tough game on the road @ Corbin against Williamsburg. They kicked our tail last year and have a good group coming back. As far as Region 2 goes. I believe Monterey and Rockwood will have a loud voice in it this year. We got both of them on the road so that makes our hill that much steeper.

I believe TC will be down this year. Lost a lot of good seniors and don’t seem to have the talent in the lower classes to replace them. Unless there are some transfers I haven’t heard about. Still have a few good players from last year but they need some more to be a well rounded team.

in the east, Meigs and Hampton also lost a lot of good players. And Marion and Watertown will need to replace their Qbs, both of whom seemed to make their offenses click.  The team with the most returning talent in the east is Tyner.  Could this be their year?

dont know as much about the west. Some think Huntington will be good. And I think westview will still be strong even after losing Simpson.  They had some good athletes and size and are one of the largest 2A schools having just dropped down from 3A.

Every year the same saying!

Trust me the only time TC is down is at bedtime.

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
