Fayetteville City hosts Lewis County

Coach Daniel Johnson got a win last Friday night against 2A Watertown in his first game as Head Coach.  City’s sophomore QB is gaining confidence, and, unlike last Friday night, all the Tigers should be dressed out and ready to play this Friday night on Tiger Hill.  Thoughts on this non-Region matchup?

How many returning starts on offense for the tigers? Is the RB still there, rumors are he transferred or moved??

I don’t know specifically how many starters we graduated last May.  I believe we currently have 58 on the roster, including 15 seniors.

The RB you’re probably talking about is KJ Jackson, the MVP from the 2020 state championship win.  Yep - he was a freshman in that 2020 season and though other public and private schools have tried to recruit him, he wears #7 for City this season.

Oops.  City actually has 16 seniors on the roster this year, but not all are starters.

Right now, KJ (a junior) is the backup RB to Aljarea Johnson (a senior), but I suspect both will get lots of carries.

Cole Cash is #57.  He’s a junior this year.  His big brother, Corian Cash, was #11 and graduated last May.
