West always starts out strong.  They have to have one of the weakest schedules in 5a (aside from Alcoa and Maryville) .  West switching regions a couple years ago I think has hurt them more than it helps.  It has been cupcake city in there region for them.  West is a good team, but how good are they really?  Powell has a lot tougher schedule than West from top to bottom.  Powell will be well tested come playoffs.  They just need to keep everyone healthy and get everyone as close to 100% for the playoffs.  Look back to last year and everybody was talking the same way about west until they played Powell in the Semis.  We know how that ended.  So again I think West is a good team don't get me wrong.  Just look at who they played so far and who they are going to play (aside from Alcoa and Maryville)  JMO

West next 5 games:

Alcoa

Power house Heritage

Power house Cocke County

Maryville

Central (not the typical Central)

keepitmoving, I'd like to chime in on this a little (understand, I'm not calling you out, just using your post to bring out my thoughts. 2018 and 2019, all you heard was how weak Central's schedule was and how they didn't play anyone that would test them. Region 2 representative has always faced that. 2019-West was going to run through Central in the semis with Mattress and company and because they had faced OR and Powell and that tough schedule and Central had completed a cake walk. (Central 10-West-0) My point is, it doesn't matter what your schedule is, you either have the horses or you don't (and a good coach doesn't hurt the cause)

On papter the 2 x2 should put Plow in a bind, make them pick their poison.  On the qb power, I think it is more a question of can they adjust?  YB, I'm pulling for the Dragon Wagon on this one for obvious selfish reasons. lol.  but first time for everything! Any luck on that decal?

I was scared during this game.

    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
