Thankfully we'll be playing in Knox County! I'm still trying to digest all of that dirty yellow laundry. Definitely an interesting discussion to be had. I'm interested to get 92Dragon to weigh in. DragonMaverick
Clinton is better than I thought they were. It’s hard to win when you let the opponent get up 15-0 In the first quarter. They did the same thing at Oak Ridge! They could very well win out and meet Oak Ridge or Powell in the playoffs! catswild
I think Clinton is better than I thought they would be and Powell is worse than I thought they would be.

Potts is a playmaker! He can turn absolute blown plays into a 30 yd gain! Edited September 17, 2022 by DragonMaverick

He reminds me of a junior version of Todd Helton in this respect. Really good at improvising.
DragonMaverick
As far as the penalties go, Clinton had their fair share called on them too! Way too many flags all night on both teams!

This is my take.....both teams deserved the majority of the unsportsmanlike, personal foul, penalties. Both teams were doing a lot of talking after the plays. I even remember seeing Powell's sideline get called for a couple where the coaches were yelling at the referees. In a rivalry game like this (players knowing each other and living close to one another) there is going to be alot of jawing back and forth. The refs have to do the best they can from letting it get out of control. Clinton was penalized 157 yards last week and every bit of that again tonight. Clinton's coaching staff needs to get their players under control. I was very proud of the way Clinton fought back but I was very embarrassed by the lack of discipline. Congratulations to Powell!! Championship teams find a way to win and Powell found a way to win at the end. Maybe Powell and Clinton will meet again in the playoffs? This loss stings, but it's time to move on to the Purple Pounders.

2011Class
Bad play calling for Clinton on the last offensive drive they had a chance to win. Keith & Potts two best QBs in this region
HTV
I haven't seen any stats. Anybody know what the penalty yardage total for each team was?
