Blaze45
3 lbs of stew meat (about 1 inch chunks), 3 garlic cloves chopped 6tbsp chili powder 2tsp cinnamon 3tbsp all purpose flour 2tbsp oregano 1 tsp each of salt and pepper 2 large cans (or about 22-25 oz total ) of beef broth Add 2tbsp of cooking oil to a 4 qt pan on low heat add meat and stir until the pink turns white on all the meat, but not brown. Add the chili powder, cinnamon , oregano and flour and continue to stir until meat is thoroughly coated . I transfer mine into a crock pot and add broth salt and pepper. Cover with lid and bring to a boil and then reduce heat and slow cook for about an hour and a half, after that you can add in can beans (ranch style works best for my liking) cook for another 30 minutes on low. Top with cheese, sour cream and chopped onions if you like and fresh squeezed lime slice.... Make your tongue slap your brain to death. ..... Blaze45
Nope... Most mixes call for tomato sauce, for the acidity and to make the broth aspect for chili....By using beef broth with flour you don't need it ... it thickens up and has more of a beefy flavor .... tomato sauce for me gives it more of a spaghetti (flavor. with chili powder) If I was making mexican spaghetti I would use 3 tbsp chili powder and add 1tbsp cumin 1tbsp oregano ...to tomato sauce and Jalapenos. simmer for about 30 minutes Brown 1lb hamburger or 1/2 beef 1/2 pork simmer while spaghetti boils . Top it with chopped onion kidney beans sour cream and cheese
