9 years ago in 2013 UHS went 13-1 in football and to the Simi finals. Also went to the semis in 1996.  80's and 90's UHS was going to and winning  baseball state championship ships. Long history in the system of some pretty good sports teams.

When I played, 3 classes. Straight off enrollments. No privates, just straight numbers. Had to win your district to make the playoffs, the rest of the teams with winning records played in bowl games. Now we have jumped from 3 classes to 9 classes, separated the private and magnet school from the public schools, and allow 4 teams from each district into the playoffs. I don't know how much more we can chop it up to get folks from getting thier feelings hurt. It's water down about as much as it can be.

I do agree with you here UC man.

Coincidentally around when school choice started in Putnam County.

#7 for Macon County has to be one of the best players in 4a. The kids is a threat  to take it to the house anytime he touches the ball. He had a long run against us but as the game went on we kept him controlled. He is the reason they beat Macon last night.

His Twin brother is just as good and will be back next season. Both have suffered injuries though.

Always been school choice. Abd what you don't consider is between 1993 and 2020 UHS climbed from 1a now up to 4a. Many years being one of the smaller schools in the class before stabling out a few years then jumping up a class and starting over.
