It does no good to show the hard facts to anyone living in the dream but others can see it for themselves. You see I actually personally know more parents that have kids at Alcoa than Maryville so I want only the best for them also. If you can't see the little cracks I'm talking about wait a while you'll fall through one. You see I already know how bad Maryville had slipped but didn't realize Alcoa had slipped a little also until the West game. Then I kept seeing the other teams were putting some points on the board which I'm sure were mainly on your seconds but your seconds are your future.

WOW....Seriously, About as stupid a post as you ever had. Alcoa loses to one of the better teams Alcoa has played in at least 5 years, and the sky is falling?

Let me remind you, Alcoa was at the goal line with 23 seconds, and the backup QB threw a 50/50 ball that a West Player came down with in the end zone. Had the Alcoa Player came down with the ball and won the Game, then what?? No cracks??............tell us genus?

As far as the points scored this year, Yes, Coach Nix allows ALL players a chance to play in the second half. Even Freshman. More so than in the past and deeper into the Roster. They give up some points, but they get valuable playing time. It'll pay in the long run in yearly reloading.

You need to come to an Alcoa game and hear the parents yell when their son gets to play. A lot more of it now, since no one needs their ego stroked.........

Little disappointed Alcoa didn't move up knowing their school enrollment will swell due to the new big plants opening before next school year. If their wanting a cheap trophy that means nothing ruling over schools that clearly have no money and have more schools fighting for the bottom than the top so be it. Not good thinking on AD's part gate wise. Maybe it's in the back of his mind about the Eagleton situation, the number of kids that have quit the team on Nix or with Mr. Hard Knocks gone  to Boyd Buchanan discipline has slipped a notch. Maybe it's in the back of his mind they went from giving up 37 points during the 2019 regular season, to 43 in 2020 to 78 in 2021 to 134 this season and still got a game to go. The offense is really just trying to outrace the defense is what I'm seeing.  Before I get all the hen house stirred up over there I've always said when Maryville starts to fall you'll see the cracks in the wall very fast at Alcoa because they both feed off of each other for each one's existence and the facts are there for all to see. Don't want nothing bad to happen to neither side but I said earlier when Alcoa beat Maryville they didn't get the prize they thought they won. The West loss was to a West team that was actually better last year than they are this year. Both Maryville and Alcoa have some rotten apples especially us, about a bushel full, Alcoa just a hand full but ole Gary was master at getting rid of those before they they hurt any of the rest. Look at those numbers and tell me the AD didn't think about this before staying in his safe place in 3A.

read twice....still sounds like...........

I really don't care if no one takes me serious. I won't set on here and lie to ya about something to make you mad. Others are having the same conversations around town so believe me it's not anything I made up. Like I said I know parents of some of the kids there and one keeps telling me not next year but the next Alcoa is going to take a drop that will shock everyone and had a lot to do with Rankin getting out of Dodge before it falls on him. All parents are very proud of their kids and thinks the sun sets on them and when their gone it will all go away so I do take that in consideration but have heard some real interesting things this year.

Tell us how much you love Rankin! Maybe cause he could not beat murvul even when he had better talent??  He's gone....get use to it!

Mr. Twister my good advise to you and all my Alcoa friends is be very careful who you put on that school board, because it's an old familiar name don't mean it's a good choice. Let's go win one for Coach Nix.

Me and Mr Twister loved dancing on the Red M on murvul field after Coach Nix whipped that 6A team tail!  Even more fun, going up to the barber shop only hear crickets! LOL! No barney to be found!  Big crybaby.

  • Thanks 1

Sounds like a game Maryville played earlier in the year. If the QB had put a little more on it The Rebels would have scored and the other teams fans wouldn't have ran up to the barber shop after the game. Now to be fair the barber and me agreed before that game we would lose and not only that how we would lose and it played out like just as we thought.

You never find Barney there after the game. I waste no time in getting home no matter if it was after winning the state championship. I'm glad to hear you and Mr. Twister had a great time that night.

    • I extend my gratitude to ManCoverage for initiating this discussion thread tailored to the residents of Trousdale County. In times of adversity within our football team, it is imperative to have an outlet for expression, and what better platform than CoachT's Craigslist forum? I respectfully request that GOAT exercise discretion in his commentary, as his remarks have caused me personal distress.
    • I am inclined to wager a substantial portion of my financial assets on the likelihood that Waggoner shall transition to an alternative coaching vocation prior to the year 2028. It is my contention that discerning individuals are beginning to perceive his coaching prowess as lacking in the requisite excellence. Allow me to articulate the following assertion: Waggoner represents a markedly superior choice compared to the individual who perpetrated the act of fuel theft.   This individual exhibits a conspicuous propensity for frequent professional transitions, a trait which undermines his credibility and renders him an untenable choice for serious consideration. It is indeed confounding that his candidacy continues to garner attention and support.
    • Yeah same   It’s definitely true that tough times make tough kids, but some kids just have a big passion for the game and will become the best of the best no matter where they come from.
    • Hope you enjoy it King and good to meet you at state this year. Good luck to the Lady Landers. Keep battling.
