Then the Head Coach liked the Tweet.

Sounds like they're upset from getting smashed last year.  They couldn't win the region when they joined ours so they high tail it back to r2 where they're a regular bottom seed.  The thing is, they have a chance to win tomorrow night.  We've acknowledged that but now they start with this mess.  I guess people will believe what they want.  We've had unethical people running the program in the past. Onb remembers 2011 well.  No doubt that the field was watered that night but that's the only time I recall.  I don't think the tssaa would let that fly during the playoffs.

Yes I do remember that very well and that was my thoughts the whole night was something weird had happened. Then about 3 or 4 years later I'm sitting in pujo's living room when Landers 91 looks at me and says you know you were right, I said right about what. He said about the field that night we did wet it down, the coach said that's the only way he thought we could slow you down. He was correct we won 12 to nothing I think it was I can't remember. But we couldn't stand up for nothing Cloudland couldn't stand up for nothing worse conditions I'd ever seen. But that was a whole different coaching staff the young man you have there now wouldn't do anything like that he would expect his kids to play regardless who they were up against just like last year when South Pittsburg rolled into town. Have a lot of respect for him and his family and anybody who thinks that this guy would do anything crooked is full of malarkey. If that field is wet I guarantee you it did rain that's the only way it would be wet with this guy at the helm.

Also that 2011 Greenback Cherokee team would beat this Oakdale team by 90 points there is no reason to have to wet the field against these eagles they don't have that much speed at all. They have a little Talent but very beatable.

Johnson County was also bad to wet the field to slow mark byrd down lol.  We got in a bad way up here after coach Keith was let go in 06.  07 to 11 was some of the worst cland football I've ever witnessed.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
