Well, I'm pretty sure Elizabethton is not the same team AC played earlier either. So that's a wash. Betsy gets the nod in the coaching department, so I'll go with the Cyclones.

I would be remissed not to give the best Six Win and Five Loss team in the state a shout-out, The BLACK AND ORANGE OF ELIZABETHTON! What you all did was amazing after your start this year.

You would be that Loser who responds to himself, probably like your own facebook posts too. :lol:  So you're saying you're a Betsy fan got it.  You asked compare over the last three years about Betsy and Greeneville Scores, lets use Grainger for an example since you brought them up.  Betsy scored more points than Greeneville did against Grainger 2 out of the last three years troll.  One year putting up 63 points on them were you upset at Witten for doing that?

Since you are either unwilling to do the leg-work, or ashamed to post them, I can help you with some statistics.  Gillum's record:

Scott High School  3 seasons  14-16

Anderson County  13 seasons  108-45   12-9 in playoffs, never made it past 3rd round.  In 4 of those 13 seasons, he's had a losing record.

At this point, he's a good coach, but far from "one of the best coaches in the state", as you've asserted.

Another hater and we will hang it in our locker room. You just don't know him like we do. Kep talking

No chance. Just because it is Greeneville doing it, it is like a hate crime. For example, Chuckey-Doak played 2 classes down and put up 76 on poor ole North Greene and no one said a single word but yet when Greeneville puts up anywhere from 60 to the 88 (Sullivan East) against teams they are forced to play everyone goes after them. It is a double standard and it stems from jealousy

As a Fulton fan. I am going to politely bow out of this thread. It is the other teams job to stop you. Period. Let your kids play and run your offense.

As stated earlier in the post.  It's the opposing schools Coaching staff job to field a team that is competitive and productive.  Along with being good ambassadors and Stewards of this game we all love.  But, at the same time no one can say Eddie nor any other Coach in GreenEville does anything but that.  So, when it comes to scores since you do monitor Coach T realize 35 plus points are put up in the 1st and 2nd qtr of each of those games.  The Devils Players and Staff are a class act that many other programs need to emulate.  Because giving our younger kids the opportunity to play on Friday's is an asset that some don't realize (so by the time it's their time to truly shine the stage will not be to big for them).  IPOPU2022 I wish you and your Team the best of luck moving forward.  God Speed!

      This scenario resonates with the dynamics observed in my hometown of Hartsville. The undue influence of politics on high school sports remains a pervasive issue, detracting from the integrity of athletic programs.  The proliferation of individuals driven by a thirst for power inevitably precipitates the downfall of any program. It appears that we are currently grappling with similar challenges akin to those faced by Greenback. Please accept my condolences for your ordeal.

      From what we are hearing on the reservation we will be lucky to beat sunbright. And trust me I am not throwing stones at them because they play their hearts out. It’s a tuff game every year, just like Oakdale but when you have small numbers that’s what you get. And then you add in that you loose two top linemen and the starting qb!!!! Along with a running back!  We are in deep trouble.

Furthermore, it appears that meeting the expectations of this community remains an unattainable feat, as even a hypothetical scenario of clinching five consecutive state championships would likely not suffice to quell discontent. The current situation is fraught with complications, primarily stemming from applicants for the position who have cultivated relationships with board members known to have opposed the former coach.

      Yes it big when you only have 30 players last year and that is counting 8th graders it is huge!!!!!!! And this year they are starting a middle school team and the 8th graders will be on it. Until their season is over. That is a plus to having a K-12 school. The eighth graders can play on high school football. And yes we have used them a lot in the past few years.

      Was the Coach fired? I thought I had read here or somewhere that he had elected to leave himself and pretty sure some folks on here had already been eluding to his departure well in advance of him actually acknowledging it. Or did the principal can him and then in turn get canned him/herself for this action?  From the sounds of it, i don't know if this or the Clinton situation is more of a mess.
