I’d say contract wording will be a factor. Those jobs come with serious money thus serious contracts.

Wouldn't they have to be 1 year contracts for coordinators? I don't think you could hire a new head coach and tell him what coordinators work for him. Interesting though however they are setup. Such a different world than small school football.

I’m not sure if they’re single years or not honestly. That’s one of the things I meant by contract wording. On the other side what provisions are in place to keep a coach from leaving before a contract is up if any? If so could be quite costly for a coach to leave early for another job depending on contract dates. Like you said, completely different world. TL left but no idea what ,if any, contractual restrictions were in place.
