Thanks! Good to y’all as well. I still believe we both go on to beat Murfreesboro Central & Creekwood. I hope we both head to MTSU on tues!

I will be able to listen to bits and pieces of the game on the radio that is it. If I sent some Orange and Blue apparel down to Chester would you mind wearing it for me and cheering for the Hornets tonight? HA JK

Almost every year SS comes to the Glass House undefeated and when I look at their schedule I see almost no competition. Don’t get me wrong, they are extremely talented but why not play teams like Westview or at the very least play a team that can challenge you. I watched South Gibson come to Sparta over the Christmas holiday and get beat down by AA York Institute. That’s the only team that has remotely given y’all a game. Maybe it will payoff and maybe SS is that good. I guess time will tell.

Well sir we play who is on our schedule! Let me help you with our schedule, we played an Alabama team. They had 3 D1 players. We played a tough Missouri team that was huge! Them 2 teams alone would beat anybody in AA or AAA!

Don’t ask why we don’t play westview! call them and ask them why they can’t travel to play us! We tried to play them last month but didn’t want to come to us, they always want us to come to them.

We will definitely show you how good we are! I will personally come find you if you’re in Murfreesboro! You say the same thing every year. We have battled key injuries the past few years! No different last, we had a D1 6’2 forward that didn’t play at the state tournament, so Upperman got blessed!

Why do I say the same thing every year?  Because so many times I see west Tn teams coming to the glass house with 32-0 33-1 records and they get beat first round. Upperman beat you on the floor when it counted so they didn’t get blessed they won the game and the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. SS is a quality team and probably on paper the favorite to win AAA. Let’s see how the draw works out. I’m guessing you’ll have to play at least one team from 7AAA maybe both to win it all. We shall see

I saw SS play a 7A school in Hewitt-Trussville High from Alabama that had at least two D1 players on it. I also saw SS play a very tough Cardinal Ritter Prep team from St. Louis that the shortest player on the team was about 6”1,’ and those girls are all recruited in to play. They arguably have about 4-5 D1 players on it.

What are you seeing @UCSportsFan? I’m not even a fan of SS, just of the game! They even came to Gibson Co and beat them by 30 pts, the same team that recently beat Westview. Do you think they really want to play SS? Their coach is obviously scared to play them as they try to play WV every year and they (WV) will only agree to play SS at home! That’s fear buddy! I honestly don’t see a school around here that can handle those girls.

I’m not quite sure you really know basketball though. . . No shots taken, but you’re obviously confused about who SS really is.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
