East can’t have the same first half penalties against SC that they had against Marion and win against SC. ER will have to play virtually clean the whole game to win in Carthage. The talent is there for ER, it’s obviously the discipline that is questionable

Funny thing is ER played just as bad in the first half vs Marion as they did vs SC and it was 0-0 at half time. ER had 4 turnovers and 150+ penalty yards vs Smith Co the first go around and still had a chance to win the game on the last drive.

ER drove on smith co the last meeting but would shoot their self in the foot. First drive of the game ER was running it down their throat and then the penalties came in. Last night ER offense had 2 live ball penalties, rest were after the whistle.

Penalties are a recurring theme for ER

Psssssh.   They will have a penalty free game Friday and CRUISE to victory.   Makes complete sense.

I’ve seen both of these teams play, even sc posters will tell you that if ER plays their BEST game they will win. (Still very highly unlikely)

If ER plays like they've never played.  In other words.  Like a team that isn't them that's better than them they win.

So if ERplays like smith.    Got it.

ER beats a paper tiger Marion and all of a sudden they have a chance against Smith?  Smith mercy ruled a similar team in City almost in the 1st Q.

If ER scores 24 in Marion 14 vs Wmith is about right.  If ER starts as badly as they did last night it will be 20-0 at half.

Actually ER had a chance with 4 mins left in the game the first time they played. I’m not saying ER is going to win. But ER is not CITY. But I like when you predict ER to lose like you did against Marion. It’s good stuff!

Smith isn't Marion.   I w a s comparing city to Marion not ER.   Try to read cognitively.

I watched the first game against these 2 and watched SC last night and read about ER last night!

By what I’ve seen and read…I believe SC has improved a ton and ER hasn’t improved that much.

You can’t beat great teams who are physically comparable to you when you’re not disciplined.

With that being said… I’m taking SC by 14 plus at home knowing the score of the last game between the two and acknowledging ER has the best athlete between the 2.

I bet 85 % of the penalties are coming from the sophomores. ER is so Soph heavy. Still really young and it shows a lot. Going to be hard to beat smith as it is. Definitely can’t with penalties.

I think anybody honest with themselves would say ER's A+ game beats our A+ game. That being said, we've not seen them put together an A+ game against a real opponent this year.

I don't think ER has improved any more than we have since the first time we played.

Y’all have definitely improved more than we have

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
