Knoxville is too far away. See Clinton thread.

Market is terrible. Houses "fly off the shelves" in this town.

Get'er done.  TSSAA....whatch gonna do.

Families that are buying the new builds/flipped houses, that you say are flying off the shelves, arent bringing in the bigger country linemen type. They will kill it in chess and cross country and maybe the swim team. The linemen type families arent living in OR anymore. They go to the country. Thats why I say try to recruit in anderson county, but outside of the OR city limits and roane county. Anyone who knows anything knows that the issue is lacking up front talent. ask sweet

Besides, I'm not talking only Knoxville. I'm talking Nashville, Memphis, upper East Tennessee. I would think many of the transfers within Knox Co. have a longer commute(time and/or distance) to their chosen school than to Oak Ridge. Get'er done. TSSAA......watcha gonna do?

TSSAA only cares about the city when transferring after frosh year. As long as the address says knoxville/knox county they don't check what the address is really zoned for in knox county

I'm thinking more about the waterfront next to Calhoun's (maybe catch a glimpse of the white van when that bunch pulls in). And I'm not talking families here ("no parents required" as stated in original fantasy), I'm talking football players. I'm not talking driving around Knoxville. I'm talking talking about chauffeuring them from Villa Ln. to the school and back.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
