Please, like Halls is a destination job.   Lenoir City next year would drill Hall's eyeballs shut if they were to play in 2024.  But yeah, it was not a good fit at OR, because the Admin. is a bunch of a..clowns.

What’s so bad about the Halls job?

It's not a bad job, but it was far from a "mistake to leave Halls."  They will win more games at LC under Cummings than Halls will win year in and year out.  He will likely be 2nd to Oak Ridge only having to beat Clinton, Karns and Campbell County.  A home playoff game at LC, they will put up a statue! Plus he had about 95,000 reasons to make the move.  Knox County/Halls can't touch that.  Win more games, playoffs every year, make more money, hardly a "mistake leaving Halls"

I think you over estimate the talent pool at LC......

Like I said they play in a region with Karns (bad), Clinton (will take huge step back), Campbell County (bad).  They will finish 2nd place to OR.  Home playoff game year in and year out.  Their next toughest game is Loudon.  In a couple years under Cummings they will win 7-8 per year regular season.  Mark it down.  Not to mention, Sausage town is hungry for winning football and their admin and fan support down there is excellent despite their lack of success.

I think they found an identity with the single wing. Don't know that the new guy will win that but he has been known to run the ball well in the past. They should have continued success. I would say that LC is a better job than halls. Similar talent pool but more money and easier region for sure.

I agree with a lot of this. Karns will not be good. No Bishop coming around ever again, I will be watching clinton to see how they recruit without their best sales pitch now leaving. CC is losing players left and right to AC and players and pemberton are having disputes on twitter.

Agree the talent suited the Single Wing.....Maybe Cummings dusts off the split back veer playbook?

He still runs some of that but he has adapted it somewhat.  It's not under center anymore, same concepts but it's out of the shotgun much like what George ran for all of those championships at Murvil, but he has also added some wrinkles and other formations.  So, I would call his offense "multiple" but mostly based of split veer concepts.

Sounds like triple option out of the gun
