I don't know the family and I doubt many here do, but none of us have to.  We all understand the depth of despair this brings that immediate and extended family as we all are involved parents, coaches, and admirers of these young athletes.  Man I hate this with every fiber of my being.  I only hope nobody else played any role in what happened.

The news is not giving a cause of death. Probably because the young man is a minor. News reports say the his teammates stopped to see the ocean for the first time. I feel very sorry for the young man's family and friends. Very mach a tragedy.

This information came from a government official in Dickson County. I am not 100% sure of its accuracy but I dont think this individual would lie to me. 
The boys went for a swim in the ocean. They were caught in a rip current and they were trapped in the water. Everyone was able to get out except the young man who drown. He was under for too long. Coach Patterson suffered a heart attack while trying to save the boys. From what I am told Coach Patterson is still in the hospital in Florida.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
