Pickett County only has 2 losses, both to 3A AP ranked Cumberland Co...the 2nd matchup at Cumberland County wasa 3 point game. PC has played a tough schedule and has played 11 top 25 teams. Sophomore Zoey Nicholas had 38 points including 6 of the Lady Bobcat's 16 threes. Ella Kate Keisling had 5. PC is ranked #2 but beating Clay Co so badly could move them to #1 in the AP Poll. Clay was ranked #7 on Coacht last week, but I haven't checked this week. PC went to the state last year, a year earlier than expected and could be a threat to win it all this year.

They deserve it.  Pickett and Wayne are imo the two best teams

Pickett Female Bobcats should take on Bearden Female Bulldogs. Pickett Female Bobcats would not be able to stop Bearden Female Bulldogs team with Natalya Hodge. i'm pretty sure they would at least try to schedule them if it wasn't for all the mandatory district games that need made up plus a few rivalry games

This ain’t Football a Small school like Pickett could easily play with and beat a large school team. In 2020 Greenfield (small school) could have beaten anyone that year including all the teams in AAA.

Oh yes, I have watched Bearden Female Bulldogs play a lot this season. I also saw Pickett Female Bobcats play a game. I only saw Pickett Female Bobcats play the one game. Pickett Female Bobcats have a good team for the A division, but they could not beat Bearden Female Bulldogs. Bearden Female Bulldogs would mercy rule Pickett Female Bobcats. It would happen.  I guarantee it. I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
