Zach is a good power pitcher and has good control as well. He will help the Wildcat staff this year.......my personal thought is that he is a better SS and hitter than pitcher....I think that is what will be in his future....or maybe a RFer in college.....he has that big gun from RF.

I WILL AGREE WITH ALL THE NAMES POSTED SO FAR BUT HAVE TO ADD ZACH BOWMAN TO THE LIST. HE HAS GREAT CONTROL OF HIS PITCHES GET A LITTLE WILD HEAR AND THERE BUT HAS A DIRTY CURVE AND THROW UPPER 80'S WITH A PEEK OF 91.

All these guys ya'll are naming play at big high schools. There is some great talent at the pitchers position in the small private schools. They don't get the recognition because they are at small schools.

Josh Fletcher at Briarcrest throws in the upper 80's with great control

I think that two of the top ten pitchers in the state are from Red Bank.They are Jeremy Hill and Josh Carter

Tim Ofiero from Volunteer HS. This kid has speed, control, nastiness, durability, and heart

Al Haas - Cleveland Doesn't throw that hard anymore....had a problem with his shoulder...but knows the game very well and most importantly knows how to get batters out.

 

Bill Chambers - La Follette Watching him pitch, you would say "How does he get anybody out?" But his stuff is effective and seems to irritate his opponents. Drawback is that his mind seems to wander at times.

 

George Boone - Gallatin Senior pitchers who probably knows his opponent better than any young pitcher I have ever seen. Scouts constantly....PICTURE this, your next pitcher in the stands, scouting how to get you out. By the way, his curve ball maybe the best in the state.

 

Fran Pappasadro - Ripley They call him the "Brink's Truck" because he is a money pitcher. When the pressure is on, he's a bulldog. COVERS his position well...good fielding pitcher.

 

There are other very good high school pitchers in the state. In travelling the state, these 4 stood out.

J. Lykins from Marshall County is one of the best in the state, by far.

There is a unknown in Camden, TN and his name is Brian Markum. This kid is going to be a sophmore and had a decent year last year staring pitching as a freshman. He has talent and needs to be recognized as one of the states top pitchers.
